Know your utility
Some pliers are specialized and can be used to perform certain specific tasks only. Whereas, other pliers are not specific and can be used to perform a wide range of general tasks. Pliers can be grouped into 3 broad categories, based on their functionality.
Cutting – this category includes styles such as side-cutting and end cutting, that can only be used to cut wire, bolts, nails and other materials.
Holding – pliers in this category have no cutting function and can only be used to hold objects of various thicknesses. Popular models include groove joint, slip-joint and locking pliers (without wire cutters).
Multifunctional – the jaw configuration of these pliers allow users to perform both cutting and holding operations. Popular models include linesman, long and bent nose pliers.

Good set of tools for the priceI am preety happy with the quality of all the tools except for the poor tolerance on the adjustable wrench. The turning mechanism as well as the claw on the adjustable wrench is very wobbly and seems to have excessive play. Apart from that, the grip on each of the handtool is great and comfy.I would recommend it for small diy home projects, but if you want to use it for some serious abuse, evertthing seems to be capable of except for the adjustable wrench.

Excellent buyI read some silly one and two-star reviews complaining that they are not of great quality. Hmmm. If you are a tradesman you surely would not be misled by the name because it has the word ‘pro’ in it? – you would go buy one of the big-name brands for your work. But if (as I was) you are looking for some newer tools to replace older ones in your garage for work around the home – these are excellent. They are actually good quality and they represent excellent value. Definately recommended.

Under ÂŁ20 ? Best Bargin in a long time.They may not be the best quality, but for me the average DIY person, they are ideal. Very robust.They are larger than I thought, but that was the point. I wanted a bigger pair of Pliers, but wasn’t prepared to pay over ÂŁ20 or ÂŁ30 for Pliers.So I have what I wanted, plus 4 other great items I didn’t think I could get, all for less than ÂŁ20.If they break (which I don’t envisage happening) I’ll buy again.

Handy pliers to get to grips with.These pliers have a good ‘feel’ to them. They don’t look like they are going to fall apart when the going gets tough. I’d have paid a bit more to have them in their own handy little case, but hey, that’s just nitpicking. The five piece set ought to cover just about every household eventuality where pliers are needed. The grips are good, they ought not to slip out of your hand, even if they are soaking because of a plumbing emergency! Good value, and recommended.

Good quality tools for price.The item arrived in a timely manner and well packed. Having used this brand of tooling previously I was expecting a reasonable quality set and yes this is what you get. Not the best in the world but a decent reliable pieces of kit. I am giving them 5* but in reality would give them 4.5 * The niggle in my set is the rather lumpy worm on the adjustable spanner and spoils what is really a good set. Pliers and cutter work well to date and so far the handle grips have not moved or slipped like previous set, but it is early days. Generally a good middle of the road set of pliers and wrenches.

Good value good quality.This set feels slightly rubbery rather than plasticy, which helps with a grip.I think you get good bunch for money. I was specifically after a standard pliers and pipe pliers, went for this one because it had adjustable too in this set for money.Ended up using for more work than intended, as was able to get my car oil filter done with no problems.

Good value, but you get what you pay forThey are of a decent quality however the tip of the wire cutters has broken off in transit as they are not packaged adequately 🙂
