Tough and solidThese adjustable spanners are a useful set. They are designed to enable you to access nuts in confined spaces. They have a shortened handle end which fits within the palm of your hand. The handles are cut out making the spanner very light weight. The spanners are also very thin in their co structure at around 5mm thick, however dont let this fool you that the spanners are week. There are made of solid hardened metal and super strong. The spanned mouth is adjustable with wide opening for their compact size, giving a very good range of nut size to work with. The opening has a measure so you know how large the opening is and what nut you can fit I to the mouth, although this does not seem to be particularly accurate..The spanners are a little unbalanced due to the shortened and lightened handle, but just the same they work very well and are super smooth to adjust via the worm gear.Overall pretty happy with the set of four. I didn’t think the price was too bad at around £12 per spanners.

Lightweight toolsNice four spanner item, all are individually card mounted. I like how lightweight these tools are, with shorter handles and less metal it makes a huge difference while sacrificing some leverage. The handles are slotted so a bar or screwdriver could be used to give extra leverage if required,The handles are rubber dipped, the rubber is quite thin. It could have done with another layer of the same thickness for extra comfort. The jaws open and close very smoothly.

Compact adjustable wrenchesThis is a review of the set of 4inch, 5inch, 6inch and 8 inch adjustable wrenches as they are also available individually. They are wrapped in plastic individually but offer a discount buying them together, you effectively get the smallest one free. This set of four Stubby Adjustable Wrenches are a bit niche with their wide opening jaws and stubby handles coated in silicon for comfort and grip as well as some insulation. However they will fit where larger tools will not and should cover the majority of sizes of fixing while having more than one together is useful when you need to loosen both the nut and bolt to stop it twisting around. The jaws are shaped slightly longer and thinner than a traditional adjustable spanner and this may help access hard to reach bolts. They feel well made from forged chrome vanadium steel which extends to the handle which is is covered with silicon. The adjustment mechanism is precise and the jaws have a scale imprinted on them which is useful to measure a nut or to set the size. There are cheaper options if you are after an adjustable spanner or spanners but as with all tools it is difficult to compare value and quality without seeing them side by side. This set of spanners feel well made, are well designed and should last a long time.

Gets the job doneI got this adjustable spanner because I needed one with wide enough jaws to tighten a 22mm compression joint. It worked fine and fills a gap in my toolbox.Plus points:Plastic coated handle is comfortable to hold. I appreciated its cushioning action when tightening a joint. The scale markings are useful for setting the jaws to the approximate width needed. The short handle makes it easy to use in confined spaces and reduces the chance of over-tightening.Negative:Only one. The tool wasn’t properly finished and I nearly picked up a couple of metal splinters from it.This wrench is also available as part of a set, which may represent better value if you need more than one size.

I like theseAt first glance these seemed expensive for what they were, but on closer inspection they are actually really nice to use.Small and light weight these wide opening adjustable spanners are not intended for really heavy duty work but they make getting to inaccessible fixings much easier. I especially like the coated handles which make holding them really easy even with just a couple of fingers. The markings on the jaws are clear and easy to read, and the mechanisms do not suffer too much slop.I would expect them to be a little cheaper, but the quality is good.

Very good quality wrenchWide Opening Stubby Adjustable WrenchThese stubby wrench are very good and durable there perfectly good if your working in a confined space. These wrenches were easy to adjust they didn’t catch or stop so you didn’t have to fight to open or close to make a certain adjustment. The handle was nice and comfortable due to the rubber around the handle unlike my old ones which are just bare metal. This is for the 4 wrench set which to be honest were very good quality so the price is fair for what you pay for some maybe a tad bit expensive.

Short but yet wide mouthedA decent sized adjustable spanner which I use primarily for attaching the towbar bike rack. Obviously it has a multitude of uses but having a short handle but wide opening means it is perfect for this use. Good quality and the adjusting wheel moves freely and easily. Decent value and recommended.

Quality 4 pack of wrenches from Brand: HQGC.For under fifty pounds you receive four adjustable spanners, that come individually wrapped on cardboard backs, with well chosen branding. 4″+5″+6″+8 inches. These are just what I needed for my tool box and will be very handy for household jobs, when I never seem to have a spanner around. The forged chrome Vanadium steel construction meets ANSI specification. The spanners seem really well made, in an easy to find blue and silver design. Between the four sizes they should tackle ever conceivable nut size. They are just the job. 4 sizes with jaw opening to a max of 44mm on the largest size. 30% lighter than other wrenches. You really can’t go wrong with these.
