High Vera qualityYou really need to use these hex keys for a while to appreciate the little design details that elevate them above any other hex keys that I’ve used, such as the coloured shanks making selection of the correct size key seamless.I love Wera tools – I will always select them first over any other rand. You could argue that the cost is high, but I view this as ‘value’ and I know that these tools will last me a lifetime.

Tools to last a lifetimeAfter years of struggling with bargain bucket allen keys ruining and rounding off bolts, got tired and invested in a quality set. This set has worked on bolts I had considered ruined which didn’t mesh with cheaper keys. Colour coding helps instantly identify the proper key, and also make sure the set stays together rather than being scattered around, ‘borrowed’ and mixed with inferior sets. Every toolbox needs a top notch allen key set. It’s quite an investment for what it is and I’m sure they’re making a comfortable profit, but sometimes the expensive option is the frugal option, especially when ruining bolts can result in ruining things. One comment is that it would be nice if I could buy a cheaper set with a more limited set of sizes, since I can’t remember the last time I had to use a 8 or 10mm key at home. Something like 2.5, 3,4,5,6 would cover most use cases and the gaps could be filled in with cheap keys. If a smaller set were available I’d likely buy more sets for family members who don’t need a full toolset.

good qualityExpensive for what they are but feel nice to the touch and fit well

Look out rival dads!I didn’t want to be the rival dad without a socket set. Decided as well as buying a socket set, I’d buy these hex keys too. Was unsure if they were really necessary but I liked the colours. It was only after receiving these I realised how bad the cheap hex keys you get with things are. I have so many slightly rounded bolt heads etc because of bad hex keys. These are so solid they so neatly fit things which then just turn without any give or rounding. The flat and rounded ends are genuinely useful too.Don’t know how well these would stand up to ‘trade’ use however, as a rival dad I have a hex key set that will last me for life, and look pretty impressive too. Look out rival dads!

Excellent allen key set – very nicely engineeredI’ve had my eye on these allen keys for quite a while but felt I couldn’t justify the cost as my old unbranded allen keys worked well enough for what I needed. But I lost the old allen keys last week and so I decided to order the Wera set. What a difference! They just ooze quality and feel so much better in the hand than the old keys. The clip also works well – a nice, secure action to the lock and it’s easy to extract individual keys as you need them. The colour-coding is very handy too.The larger keys are quite a bit longer than the equivalents in my old set, but this helps with a bit of extra leverage so is a good thing. But I’ve attached a pic that shows the unlocked clasp against a tape measure so that you can see how long the keys actually are i.e. just in case you need more compact keys.

The only hex keys you’ll needThese are the best hex keys you can get, I think

Another quality set of wera toolsthe tools utilise the wera tool colour identifier scheme. The allen keys feel solid and sturdy in your hand. Only down side is the printed text on the allen keys get scraped away each time you pull out or insert the allen key into the holder.

Just Buy Them, one of the best you can buy.Now I have purchased a few Allen key sets in my time, the Beta ones are good however these are on another level. They are slightly bigger in size than the ones I have but these ooze quality. If you have ever put then in your basket and not purchased them then your missing one of the best Allen key sets you can buy.
