MUCH better than expectedThis Tiller is so much better than I expected from reading reviews. It kicks a bit on startup if you’re not careful, but then so does my scarifier. It’s no big deal once you know what to expect. Use it as per the instructions and it’s brilliant. Yes, it definitely chews up existing grass. It doesn’t remove it in pieces, it’s a tiller. It absolutely MINCES it, and all the ground too. Having used it on my old and hardened ground (I could only get a spade in it with difficulty) this tiller has left me with soil like sand, easily rakeable, and with very few lumps of grass. The lumps that i’m left with are very small, and can just be tilled again if really necessary. It’s a meaty lumpy soil destroyer, don’t expect a gentle mowing action, it’ll bounce up and down if not held correctly, and read the manual. One of the best garden tools I’ve ever bought.

Excellent performanceIt works very well it we have to spend some time to know the working conditions. Packed soil can be loosened. If the soil is moisture then the results are better. On the whole it is a useful item for garden maintenance.

Good piece of kitNever used a rotavator before so had no idea what to expect, after reading some previous reviews about it jumping fwd on starting I was prepared for it. The ground was quite hard and was having it’s first turn over so it bounced around a bit before finding it’s grip in the earth, not sure whether that’s because I don’t have much upper body strength and best to keep animals and small children out of the way when in my hands! Once it got a grip it tore through the earth like a goodun and made short work of the area.Really pleased with the machine and the results and think I have found my ‘happy place’ as now addicted to wanting to turn over new ground for no apparent reason whatsoever.

IT WORKSbought as a surprise gift, and they are very happy, as what would have taken some hours to do took 5 minutes. The photo does not do justice as it looks like a mess. the area is approximately 1 metre by 5 metres, this was the first step in a no dig garden. based on the recipients comments I recommend the Tooltronix 750w Electric.
Really good enjoyed every minute a must have game more of the same . please . –
PowerI bought this with a little trepidation at first as I was unsure if it would be powerful enough for the price. Set it up and got to work and wow, this is an animal. If you buy one you will not be disappointed at what it can do but give yourself a chance to get used to it or it will gallop of with you.

Well worth the moneyBought this to help make a soak away drain,Excellent machine, cut through soil, clay, tree roots about one inch thick, even broke pieces of brick which were under ground.Went down approx. 1mt and 4mts across. It gave a bit of a shake occasionally when hitting tree roots but realise it wasn’t really designed to dig trenches .If using it for its proper purchase just rotavating top soil it would easily perform its duties.Excellent machine and would buy again.

Small but powerfulGood little rotivator. For the price I half expected it to break when it hit the first big stone but to its credit I managed to turn over my whole garden with no issues, and the soil hadn’t been dug over in years. Not sure how it would go on heavy clay soil but it’s perfect for what I need.

Tricky at start but great once used to itEasy to assemble and nice long cable, we used it on ground that was quite firm having not been dug over for several years. It bounced around when started up but once you drag it back and then forward it behaves itself. Powerful and chopped through the soil with ease, it does take a firm hand to control it though.
