Ideal Budget blower/vacuum for small/medium gardens & astroturf!We’ve a medium-sized garden with astroturf and four trees that whilst evergreen, do shed leaves throughout the year (especially in high winds).The problem with astroturf is that it looks SO neat when you get leaves on it they stand out and they’re not going to decompose properly.Suction is ok, not fierce but it copes reasonably well. Blowing is a bit weaker, but I don’t use that very often and it’s ok to just blow stuff into a corner for a few minutes, then vacuum everything up. I found it’s better to do it this way than to try and vacuum across the entire garden as the nozzle is fairly narrow, so it takes a lot longer that way. Better to blow into a smaller area/corner and then attack that, picking up the stragglers afterwards.

Great product, absolute bargainIt feels ‘cheap’ but works a dream. My leaves have been down since Autumn and some are still slightly damp from the spring showers, but this picked it up a treat. The cable is long enough for my short garden, and the kit is easy to carry and hold- although your hand may cramp after being on the handle for a while. For the price i paid? An absolute bargian

Does the job wellI use this regularly to clean some artificial grass in my garden and it picks up debris really well.The slight downside is the black spout falls out of the main unit quite easily.

Good suction garden vacUsed in ideal conditions in early March. Some dry leaves but lots of small twigs that the lawn mover won’t pick up . Worked very well and better suction than I had imagined. Easy to use and also easy to empty the bag. Saves my poor back picking up twigs that blow on to the lawn after strong winds. Good value to date

Easy to use9Bought as a present, put it all together and it worked really well. Not as light as I thought but with the strap over the shoulder ok. Bag looks big enough for the job, all thd leaves that blow onto the drive.

There are Pros & ConsI’ve had this vacuum for over a year now and held off reviewing because I wanted to be fair, first impressions were not good but I may have been unlucky. Overall it’s excellent but I was initially very disappointed when the zip on the bag gave out at the third time of using. I chose it mainly for the light weight and am surprised to see reviews (well one so far) saying it’s heavy; it’s not it’s only 3kg. There is plenty of suction, I would have preferred variable suction but that would presumably have added to the cost. The supplied collection bag is not the strongest but has survived 16 months of average use without breaking (apart from the zip). Every time I wanted to empty it it’s taken 5 minutes to unjam the zip and another 5 to close it back up; it really is a poor quality, low grade zip. I’ve been looking everywhere for a replacement bag and have finally found one which is identical in size and shape, appears to be better quality and the zip at least opens and closes much more smoothly and easily than the original ever did. It came from Thomson & Morgan, cost £9.99 and is intended for a ‘Garden Gear’ blower/vac.

Works wellReading some of the reviews I was a little reluctant to buy. When it came it took literally minutes to put together and I was off. Powerful suction and my small garden was free of leaves in minutes for the first time.
