Easy startI searched for ages for a reasonably lightweight petrol mower, and must be an easy starter.I was first drawn to the fact that this mower is a Briggs & Stratton, one of the best. (I do my research)!I checked feedback that others had left. This mower ticked all the boxes.I am a 66 year old female with some health issues, but I put the mower together in about 15mins, filled it with petrol and of I went.I have a large garden, over 200ft, but this Sprint just kept on going. The collection box is a good size, so not too much time spent stopping and starting.I noted that one reviewer had an issue with the tightness of the bar when pulling it up to start mowing. There is an adjustment to move the the throttle cable up 6inches on the side bar. This reduces the speed a bit, but lessens the tightness.Overall I am delighted with this machine, and hopefully it will work faithfully with me for many years.

Some slight issuesA bit of a struggle attaching the control lines. Otherwise easy assembly. Starts easily and runs well. The control bar for engaging the self-propelling is a bit far away from the hand-hold. Okay if you have large hands! Collects grass well. Seems a competent machine. Pleased.

Good Mower2 weeks into ownership -This mower is good with plenty of features, we have used it 3-4 times so far since we have bought it and have been using it to mow ouf 1.5 acres of grass.starts every time , doesn’t miss a beat and looks and works amazing, although for storage i am not de-assembling the handle as its cumbersome to put the handle back together – hence it takes more space in the garage then anticipated. One thing I would like to add is that the storage caddy is slightly smaller then what i would like it to be , but I guess 70 litres or however much it is is enough. The mulching contraptions works ok and doesn’t come off if you brush onto some trees or shrubs. The best feature is the self propelled feature of this mower and that saves me a lot of hassle , however I would have liked a variable speed option as I have to control the speed with speed lever in half position. but it still works no problem. The only -ve I would give is the start chord , which is not a negative per se, but I would have liked a push button start option, I guess that kind of option is available in mre expensive option, so its not really a negative for this mower. The engine seems good with plenty of powerOverall I am happy with this mower.

Good bit of kithave used 5 or 6 times now. Is well built starts easily. This model has only one drive speed which is a bit racey! But works fine without the self drive,

No independent wheel height adjustment, rubbish documentation.Wheel height adjustment is the worst feature of this otherwise great little mower. On my old one, I could jack up the 2 wheels on one side by about 50mm thus allowing me to neatly cut the edges of the lawn close to the deeper driveway ruts.2nd worst feature is the documentation – you get 4 booklets (all the world’s languages!) but it’s quite pathetic the detail given by the English-language version; 310 pages but only 10 in English – nothing on how to replace the blade for example (“take it to the service centre”).As an engineer the lack of detail doesn’t bug me too much but for some folks it’ll be a struggle.

DON’T BUY IF YOU HAVE WEAK WRISTS/HANDS/THUMBS! Nightmare to assemble….Firstly: the mower works well and does a good job. I like a variable throttle, and the mulch facility is very useful; however, assembling it proved to be a nightmare. The massive, paper-extravagant instruction booklet, once navigated to find the correct language, offered very little in the way of operating instructions., and none for assembly, apart from a set of tiny hieroglyphic illustrations that demanded extreme, peering scrutiny to work out details, for example, on which un-labelled cable went where. Difficulties were increased by the fact that the booklet covered a multitude of models–and mine wasn’t directly one of these. I have slightly painful thumbs, and attaching the cables to the machine required strength, ingenuity and just pure determination. (I now have extremely painful thumbs……) After seventy minutes, I overcame that difficulty by, simply, gritting my teeth and stretching through the pain. Then,,,,,,,fitting the cover to the grassbag: I believe this thing may be an agent of the Devil, as it viciously refused to stretch sufficiently to be attached to the frame of the bag. Again–excessive strength was needed. By now, I was not only in agony but also infuriated at having to spend so much time on this job. The air in my back garden was blue as I rediscovered obscure expletives from my student days. OK–mower assembled, And it does cut the grass well. But you need very strong hands/thumb joints to hold open the throttle bar, which is positioned badly. So watch it: if you are a superman/woman with muscular hands, a carefree approach to life and lots of time to waste, you will find this a doddle and an excellent machine. But beware of buying if you have any hand/wrist/thumb problems………or poor eyesight…….or if you want comfortable use…….I bought this to replace a mower with awkward controls. Hum……

ExcellentSpent a lot of time doing research for a relatively inexpensive petrol mower. Took 15 minutes to assemble as there isn’t that much to do, started first time and wish I had got it sooner rather than struggling with our Flymo for ages.

OK FOR TWELVE MONTHSBought this machine May 2020 and to be fair it performed pretty well for the first twelve months , since then i have had nothing but trouble with it not turning over after priming spending more time in the repair shop than on my lawn.Think long and hard before buying one of these there has to be more reliable mowers out there, this one may be heading for the scrap yard.
