Good solid set, in a durable caseI am not a serious D.I.Y person but like to attempt some small scale repairs. This set is ideal for me. Not used it much but seems good quality and nicely organised in a good case. I am not going to use it on heavy duty car repairs but for most stuff I need it for, removing, tightening bolts, assembly etc. will be fine for me.

Excellent, cheap and good quality socket set.There is not too much to say about a socket set. But I’ll try and address the key points.I’ve been using this for a few different tasks now. One of which included quite stuck nut. Which is why I needed a socket set in the first place.This kit was able to help get that nut off. The handle proved sturdy and there was no threading, bending or broken sockets in the process.The kit comes with various sizes, there should be enough here to get you through all usual household tasks.The kit feels sturdy and durable. I would expect it’ll stand the test of time.It comes in a neat little carry case, which makes it easy to store and transport.5*s as it’s a good price, seems durable and seems to be a quality socket set that I believe will stand the test of time.Perfect addition to your home DIY kit.

Well built setThis is a perfect little set for a person building up a tool box, yes there are cheaper ones out there but these are of really good quality and not made of chocolate. Hard case is really good instead of getting a pouch if you lucky.Decent weight to these and the grip of the ratchet has obviously taken style hints from snap on. Ratchet seams solid enough and does what it need toWithout question, buy these. Don’t buy cheap cause you’ll buy twice.

A Really Sensible SetMy headline is about it being a sensible set and that is because it is all metric. OK some users in UK may require AF sockets but I guess most are like me in only ever needed metric so get fed up with paying for a lot of AF kit in sets that I will never use.The set has had limited use so far but the quality and durability seems good with a substantial rachet handle plus screwdriver type handle for the smaller items. If I wanted to criticise. it would be that I would have liked to see an separate 1/4 inch handle for the smaller sockets rather than an adapter for the 1/2 inch handle. Using a large long handle for small sockets makes it too easy to over torque and break screws.Worth a five star review and I think this would cover the needs of most DIY users and last for years.

This socket set is made of chrome vandium steel which should make it durable and resistant to rust.Great to have around the house for a DIY lover and even light trade use or DIY car mechanics, especially with the additional e6-e8 ‘torx’ bits.There are adapters from 3/8 to 1/4 and vice-versa, there are 1/4 inch drive sockets from 8-18mm and 3/8 inch drive sockets from 4-14mm with a couple of 1/2 sizes in between, an extension bar and screwdriver accessories too. It’s pretty comprehensive for a small compact set.The ratchet seems of good quality and works well and the box stows everything compactly and effectively.At its current price of £29.99, it’s perfectly good value.
