Silverline MS51 40 piece tap and die setHad all the thread sizes which other sets don’t have, a big plus.Bought for cleaning threads rather than cutting new threads so just about OK.Dies are full circle and no adjustment – also not much depth so not sure whether I’d want to cut more than the odd new thread with them.Very cheap – a precision set would have been over ten times and then may be I wouldn’t have wanted to clean rusty threads with them!I have no complaints as they do the job I bought them for.

I’m ashamed to have to give it a ⭐It is soooo bad that it made what should have been an easy job, worse. It fell apart, taps could cut a simple thread in aluminium (not even a hard metal) and the dies made the bolt threads worse – it is so badly made that it fell apart during use 🤬🤬🤬
MD –
Cheap and cheerfull,The case is useless, I’m glad I was only threading plastic and even then I wasn’t confident.
Mr. P. Johnson –
RubbishBought this to clean a m12 1.75 pitch internal thread and it made the thread worse, poor quality returned
Amazon Customer –
You get what you pay forI bought this to chase threads. Its very poor quality, cheaply made and i couldnt trust it to get anything clean without destroying the thread. I certainly wouldn’t try to cut a new thread. Threads are of weird sizes, or are simply cut wrong, and the taps are of a weird mixture of types. Destined for the bottom of the box of stuff I’ll be trying to forget I’ve wasted money on.
