Klien is the bestyou can’t go wrong with Klien tools. This pair of pliers is awesome!very comfortable grips. they feel good, they cut well, they do their job well. Having the crimper on the pliers means you don’t have to carry and extra tool around with you. its always there when you need to use it.why are you still reading this?!? go buy them already

Great productTough and dependable. The stripper can get in the way if you’re cutting a few wires at a time. But besides that’s they work great.

Best pliersI find these are the best pliers on the market. Being the Journeyman 2000 series I’ve cut lots of screws, bolts, and even forced and wiggled my way through threaded rod and these pliers still show no damage on the blades after 5+ years of use. I love the big thick plastic handles. They are very comfy, don’t slip off, and don’t wear. Unlike all the other guys who have vinyl dipped handles that wear and get rips, tears, and holes in the vinyl, my Journeyman series pliers have no wear on the handles. And I love the model with the fish tape pullers. If your going to have any feature on a pair of pliers it better be fish tape pullers. In my opinion a pair of pliers is useless unless it has fish tape pullers. You can get a seperate tool for crimping or stripping, but you can’t get a seperate tool for pulling fish tape so it better be built into your pliers or they don’t belong on my jobsite. Very nice pliers.I bought mine over 5 years ago and the handles slipped off. I put a single wrap of electrical tape around the handle and slid the handles back on. I think I would have to cut the handles off now if I wanted to remove them. But I noticed that co workers who recently purchased Kleins with these handles don’t have the problem with them slipping, so Klein must of fixed the problem. Also note that Greenlee recently started selling hand tools and their pliers are very similiar to the Klein Journeyman series. But I’ve used them and hate them. They are hudge and massive with extra thick handles. They are very uncomfortable and just not the same fit and finish as Kleins. Many guys on the worksite don’t like the Journeyman series because of the thick handles. They prefer the good old Kleins or a pair of Ideals so make sure you are comfortable with the padded handles. Personally I love them and recommend nothing but the Journeyman 2000 series to everyone.

Nice Design with StrippersExcellent Klein quality as usual. Nice to have the #12 and the #10 strippers on the cutting surface. Makes working with solid conductors easy.

Klein Tools J2000-9NECRThese Klein NE style lineman’s pliers are the ones I’ve used for decades. I switched to these Journeyman 2000 series with the hardened cutters back when Klein first came out with them and have been happy with them. I’ve own several other brands of lineman’s pliers that I’ve tried over the years but, they just don’t feel right to me so have always stuck with the Klein’s. I like the narrower head that the NE style pliers have and the Journeyman grips feel very good in my hand, even when wearing gloves. The 2000 series with the hardened cutters are the only one I’ll buy because the standard cutters just won’t last with the type of abuse they will get every day. My lineman’s pliers seem to be the default all-purpose tool, from hammer, conduit reamer, nail and screw cutter, messenger cutter, wire scraper to acorn wrench. These pliers also have the crimper die which is very handy for crimping Buchanan’s when making up equipment ground connections and other non-insulated crimp terminals.
