Was not a new product, but works fine so far.That definitely was not a new product. Was very well cleaned , but I have photos proving it’s been use(lightly) before, or just been assembled elsewhere with light use on some parts. Not all of them. Box looked opened and I had the right to return it , but need it so badly so decided to give it a chance.Any way works fine for now even though I used it just once for 3 weeks time :).

Professional gardening useWell considering all the doubters from the reviews i decided to go for this strimmer / long reach hedge trimmer.Overall im impresed with this machine its not to heavy the engine can handle the work and the fuel lasts about an hour from non stop Strimming.Points to note, it does smell a bit for the first couple of days as all the heat is curing the hifh temp paint, the strap that comes with it is ok but ive a full body harness so cant really comment on the strap. All in all a good machine thats perfectly balanced without vibration either.

Fabulous piece of machineryIts so powerful that I was cutting thicker and thicker branches — don’t do it, the limit is around 1cm or you’ll damage the blade, mine bent so I had to hammer it flat again. Think I may now need a new blade as it doesn’t seem to cut as well.Always wear descent wellies and jeans etc.and also googles – stuff flies everywhere. Not sure how great the hedge trimmer is, as it doesn’t seem to cut through much very easily. The strimmer attachment is great and slices through everything.

MehHad to buy some toolsvto get the fuel flow right. Dont like how the rods fly out everytime i swap ends. A lot more fiddly then i would have liked. Ripped half my fingernail off when i caught it on the plastic gaurd pulling the cord. When it does run it is fine but will not be buying mountfield again if this is the standard of kit im getting for that money, which is a shame as all my kit is mf

Sadly this item was not for me!The package arrived damaged the brush cutter blade had a bend on one of the blades i was not 100% convinced it was brand new. The harness strap kept slipping causing a horrible burn to my inner thigh as this machine tends to get very hot during use. The hedge cutting blade needs to be longer & sturdier. I have other mountfield products & they are superb especially my lawnmower i had never had any issues with it in the several years i have had it, it is a superb bit of kit. So this item 3 in 1 was the 2nd time i had it, the 1st one did not line up correctly due to machined holes being out of sync which i did not purchase through amazon it was B&Q the 2nd one was a newer model. Overall very disappointed as mountfield are a reliable & trusted manufacturer i have used for years with no issues till this item. Amazon have always been a good reliable trusted seller & this will not effect or stop me from being a customer as anytime i needed there help they have always been 1st class in customer service.

Mountfield sold outMountfield used to stand for great quality.I have a 17 year old lawnmower still going strong.This equipment is cheap and flimsy.The strimmer attachment is ‘ok’, but I bought mainly for the extendable hedge trimmer which vibrates so badly prolonged use is painful.There is so much play in the trimmer head a clean cut is difficult.The motor will randomly cut out for no reason.Item returned.

Thing broken and not set up sorted from box but works perfectly when you overcome thisSlight issue in that the attachments don’t fit properly. Had to re-do the holes where it lines up on all areas. So disappointed that simple things were not done out of the box! The supplied strap also didn’t stay where I adjusted it to. Also it broke after a short time and not the most comfortable. Glad I have a proper harness to use instead of the annoying and weak supplied one. Needed to use it ASAP and can’t wait for the whole return and all that when it’s a simple but annoying fix. Other than that everything works perfectly, easy to start and monsters on through super thick and heavy brambles. So good that side of things but simple problems which shouldn’t be like that.
