Mountfield MHT 20 Li hedge trimmer
Say goodbye to back pain and elbow strain! This lightweight and handy Mountfield hedge trimmer combines excellent working capability with maximum comfort during use. Thanks to the lithium-ion battery, you can work freely without cords getting in the way. The 55cm cutting length and 18mm cutting capacity ensure effective and precise results.

What kind of vegetation can be cut with this Mountfield cordless hedge trimmer?
This hedge trimmer with steel blades is ideal for trimming normal garden hedges and bushes with stems up to 18 mm thick.
How do I charge the battery?
The battery can be partially recharged, but it must be recharged before first use and after a long period of inactivity (more than 30 days). At temperatures below 0° and above 45° C the system will not allow charging.
What factors will influence the battery run-time?
The battery run-time may vary depending on factors such as the density or height of the hedges and if the vegetation is wet or damp.

Nice to loose the cable…I have been using my parents old trimmer from circa 1980. This cordless model sweeps across the hedge faces very nicely. Easy handling and very safe, cute the power when either of the 2 grip switches is released. Low vibration and noise level comfortable. What used to take 3hrs now done in 60mins. Clearing up remains the same…

Spot on!Good bit off kit I must say, Did a hour off cutting the willow tree into shape and only used one bar of power. Very light weight and robust, Hats off to Mountfield was a fab bit of kit 10/10 🙂

Did the job!I needed to cut a hedge back for access purposes. This did the job although it struggled with thicker branches in the hedge (Note: Hedge, not Tree!).I’m glad I chose this longer trimmer over a shorter one for a few quid more.If you’re literally trimming a hedge rather than cutting one back, as I did, then I’d say this is a good buy.

Charge lasts about 30-40 minutesCut a tall hedge on a steep slope. The blade had difficulty getting through stems that were more than about 5mm thick

Great service and an improvement on my older cordless trimmerOrdered one day and received the next. was fully charged in less than 2 hours and was out trimming hedges with it the same day. Fantastic service. I like the 55cm blade length which is a requirement for reach on our hedges. The trimmer cuts well and on 1 cm wood that was the thickest I cut on the rough hedge we have at bottom of the garden. Is light and manoeurvrable and does the job.

Well madeI had a Terratek cutter of similar size and spec, but which failed within 3 months. The Mountfield has a slightly laonger blade, is better made and hasn’t given any trouble after 11 months.

Good but not quite as effective as mains powered unitsManages quite well but struggles with some larger stems relative to my previous mains powered unit. My hedge was not cut last year so had got a bit out of hand. This unit would be fine with a well maintained hedge.

Cuts through most things with easeI was apprehensive buying this type of tool in battery form, as I didn’t think it would be powerful enough (but I also didn’t want to be cutting through wires and trailing wire across plants!). To my surprise it has surpassed my expectations. It has cut through some very thick ivy and various other hedging plants that are far thicker than I thought it could cope with, and the battery lasts longer than my wrists do! All in all, a good buy.
