These tools are the result of feedback from the sharp end of the automotive industry – the actual technicians working on today’s motor cars. As well as our impressive range of engine timing tools recent additions to the special tools range include fully insulated tools for working on electric and hybrid cars. From humble beginnings almost 40 years ago (originally trading as Smiths Tools), the Laser Tools brand was introduced in 1976 and The Tool Connection formed in 1986. The company moved to the current head office, warehousing and technical facility in Southam, Warwickshire in 1998.

One of the better quality affordable socketsHave used these sockets on some verry stubborn bolts have had over 950nm of force on them and the only mark that was some rust, a verry nice selection and the case is durable also it fits nice in my tool box so I don’t have to have a bunch of loose sockets rolling around in my draws. This is a good set of sockets to have i would highly recommend for any one staring in the motor trade.

Excellent. Great fit onto an impact wrench, comprehensive size rangeExcellent set, there are a lot of choices with a lot of different size ranges but most miss out some sizes on the way up the range and stop in around 22mm but this goes up to 32mm and has more sizes for the price range. Individually the larger sockets are around £5/6 each for impact ones so this is better value even though it’s double the price.I use these with a heavy duty Mac impact wrench, a breaker bar and various wrenches on the van and they are superb. The fit is snug on the impact wrench which doesn’t have the ball bearing retainer, cheaper ones I tried were all too loose. The breaker bar and other wrenches have the bearing retainer so stay on if they are looser. These ones were right and solid all round, especially useful doing an oil filter change on a VW T5 which needs the 32mm socket on the end of 2 extension pieces and an elbow joint, crazy but the socket held fast.Good case as well, these will last.
