Great saw but crazy packaging. This is a great saw but I ordered three and they each came in their own package! The saws were packaged brilliantly- far too good for a saw and so I have had to dispose / recycle far too much packaging which must have been expensive for the supplier and has taken me a long time . They could easily all have fitted in one box.On top of this, the price was a minimum of three saws – I didn’t really want three but can use them. Something has gone wrong somewhere! There seems to be no way to complain about this to Amazon other than to return the item (which I don’t want to do) so I have documented it here.

Good PurchaseThis is a good buy for the price. Not the best saw I have handled but at the reasonable price it was offered at, I can’t complain.

Value for money, gets the job doneThis is the cheapest Saw I could find and I am happy with its performance. At this price, there is a tradeoff, obviously. It is not sturdy, it bends easily so it will not be easy to use this to cut a lot of wood or even thick wood. I wanted a saw for light use such as resizing bed sluts, cutting shed, MDF boards, resizing wooden curtain poles, and other similar uses. I tried to cut a thick piece of wood (20 mm thickness) and even though I managed, it was a nightmare as it took too long and I wasn’t sure after the job I the Saw would still be available. On the other hand, resizing some wooden planks on my Shed door that were making the door not to close properly was a breathe because they are thin (7 mm). So before you buy, think beyond the low price if you want a saw that will cut through

Ubiquitous, and for a reasonI see this saw available in virtually every DIY/hardware store – Wickes, B&Q, Travis Perkins etc. From anywhere from £4.99 to £8.99 and in multiple aisles. You can’t avoid it. But it really is very good, an excellent value saw. The handle has 90 and 45 degree angles built in so you can quickly square up a cut line and go. Its sharp, gets through material fast and is accurate. It can’t be sharpened to my knowledge but at this price you just buy a new one when its worn out. Mine is still going strong though after a year of fairly substantial DIY usage. I marked it down for value for money here only because it is often cheaper in DIY stores as I mentioned, but in general this saw is very good value for money
