Not impressedHaving got various Hyundai products, I decided to buy this Hyundai Garden shredder. Wrong decision. Gets blocked easily which then involves taking off the body cover. Doesn’t like softer vegetation but also struggles with medium hard stuff like old rose stems. Got fed up with it and chucked it away into the garage and took the stuff down the tip.

Works well with anything other than conifersEasy to assemble, very loud in use, works well with smaller diameter branches however clogs fairly easily particularly with thicker conifer branches. Push stick is plastic and broke after the second use and had to purchase a replacement. Overall does a reasonable job of smaller workloads.

Ok but not greatIt works, but not perfectly. Shred quality varies, some things it just doesn’t break up. Mulch produced is not very fine. Strong smell of hot wood whilst using.

Powerful shredderIt’s ok for what I use it for ie under 25mm dia branches and it works well pulling the branches through provided there’s no strong side-branches. To get the best I would suggest trimming the branches first then other than the last few inches the branches don’t need the plastic pusher. It’s quite noisy but I have no neighbours to worry about but that is something you may consider. A lot of the shavings miss the collection bag such that I don’t use it as it’s easier to sweep them up afterwards. I have knocked a star off because it is inherently unstable, the base legs could do with being 6″ wider as it’s easily tipped over. Nevertheless it’s good value and does the job well.

OK for very small bitsThis is an OK little unit for small bits but very slow, ended up just putting stuff in to a big sac and jumping on it to save time

Well madeA well build shredder that feels like it’s going to last. Works by using a fast spinning obliquely angled disc rather than a slow “cogwheel”.The supplied bag seems too small at first but the garden waste is shredded very fine (perfect for composting) so no space in the bag is wasted.The shredder needs somewhere to hang the “paddle” for pushing in the garden waste while you’re working but not using it, and the shredder is NOISY. Ear defenders are an absolute must !

Could do better!Easy to assemble , not easy to get small branches through as the paddle is too short so jams quite quickly, also blades go blunt very easily hence more jamming

Input hole is small for leaves.Wanted it for leaves in autumn, but to put in the millions of leaves will be a huge task!
