Chips branches up to 4cm not 6cmEasy to assemble and use. But will only Chip branches up to 4cm not 6cm. Stalls engine on anything over 3cm unless you feed it in slowly. up to 3cm it rips through conifer branches at a very high rate. For the price I am still happy with the purchase.

just what my garden neededi have had electric shredders / chippers in the past that really were not up to the task .i have now the machine for the job, it tackles the branches and foliage in its stride and chipps fairly significant size branches (around 2″ / 5 cm) . it is noisy but does come with ear defenders and goggles both recomended to use whilst its running, it is easy to move about . not exectly frugle with the petrol but it does provide plent of power.one thing though vibration can cause some of the nuts to work loose but the are mostly 6mm or 8 mm and easy to get replacements with anti vibration nylon inserts or products like loctite

Bought thisArrived in a strong box although said box was damaged it seems to have protected the machine but only time will tell. Have put it together OK but not tried it yet. I want it for leylandii.

Useful garden chipperCame in large box almost too heavy to move around but. once the parts were removed, construction was fairly easy and straight forward. Starting first time took a bit of fine-tuning of choke and throttle and subsequent starts both hot and cold have proved a bit of a challenge – certainly not always easy which is disappointing for a 4-stroke engine. As a chipper it has easily and quickly cleared a lot of shrubbery I had cut back but does not handle small twigs very well which can block the hopper. If blocked, the hopper is a bit of a fiddle to remove – although easy, it requires the removal of 4 nuts and washers. Generally, I am pleased with the product which has replaced a couple of electric chippers which were never fully up to the task.

So disappointed.After the struggle to put this together ( I’m no mechanic!) I was very happy with its first performance, it chopped a huge pile of stinging nettles and bramble to almost dust. Amazing. Unfortunately on its second outing it couldn’t cope with the more shrubby bushes (lonicera nitida and snowberry) as the shorter stems just kept blocking the blade. After much swearing and clearing it out ( there’s no method to remove the cover around the blades so you have to squeeze your fingers in and hope you did turn everything off completely.) I gave up. Third attemp ( a pyracantha and some honeysuckle) it was no better, my language was worse and my temper frazzled. I’m now trying to contact hyundai for advice, but as they don’t respond, a refund it might have to be! Very very disappointed.

Works well but blockages a bit of a nightmareBought this to shred a load of branches I had cut off. after moving into a new house. It shreds through most stuff I could throw at it. but the 60mm diameter is generally only for ver soft wood.Once I got the hang of it and knew the speed to feed stuff in. blockages became rarer. However, when it does block, the feed chute removal, whilst simple is 4 nuts that can you can only fit an open ended spanner on. So is rather time consuming.That being said a well put together piece of kit, with all nuts being lock nuts with spring washers.Would buy again.

Great addition to garden management.Arrived in a sturdy box, with clear instructions on how to put it together and started first time. Works really well and has chipped/shredded all my garden waste in no time! Recommended.
