Good mower, does what it says on the tinI got this from the Amazon warehouse, so it was cheaper because of a few cosmetic flaws (just some small black marks in places), it came in the retail packaging, and was unused, not a return after being used. This was purchased to replace my old flymo hover mower, as it developed a problem with a loose connection, stopping the motor to run constantly, unless I got it in the right spot to work. I decided to buy a new mower, but go for a wheeled one instead this time. This mower was easy to put together, but the collection box was a bit fiddly. This is not too heavy to lift by the front handle. The collection box holds a lot more clippings than my old mower, as it compacts the grass cuttings really well. I only emptied it twice mowing the front and back lawns, where I would have emptied it 4-5 times with the old hover mower.I like that this mower also has a lever to change the cutting height, that is a huge bonus not having to manually changing the heights with adding or taking away spacers. It cuts closer to the edge than my old mower also, which means I won’t have to get the strimmer out as much.I got an even cut on my lawns with this mower, and used it on lowest cutting height all over both front and back lawns. Would I recommend this mower, yes, wholeheartedly. It is worth the money.

Flymo – lawn box nightmareMy old mower was the same brand but much sturdier than this one. This is made of cheap plastic that probably gives it its light weight. My old one has a proper solid grass collection box. This mower has a plastic grass collection box that you have to put together as it comes in pieces. I spent nearly 2 hours trying to put the lawn box together and was just about to give up and return the bloody thing to Amazon when l eventually I did it. But really l should have returned this item. I would not buy this again. And l would not recommend this to anyone. It’s not a good mower and l have now had it for about a year. I am always being carful with the grass box as if it splits into two pieces l will never be able to put it back together again. This was a bad buy for me.

Easy to use and does the jobIts light and manouverable and leaves lines in the grass which look good. Easy to clean and not too heavy to lift. It gets easily over lumps & bumps in the grass. Grass box took some time to put together & doesnt feel that sturdy but I’ve had no issues with it. I have used it 5 times thus far and I really like it. Its height adjustable so I usually cut my grass on 2. Only problem is that when you stop cutting and let the handles go the mower overbalances a little bit and the front wheels lift up due to the weight of the grass box on the back. Grass box needs quite a shake to get the grass out. Ive had many mowers over the years and this rates in my top 3.

Does the jobI have 100 squaremeter to cut and do miss my petrol self driving one. But its gets the job done. Basket assembly was a bit tricky. Ultra light. I got the one with a window qnd tells me when its full. If u take it easy will easy cut light overgrown grass. Buy it again? Not for my garden but anyone who got something smaller perfect. Go bigger version? No just right. Thx for reading

it cuts grassreplacement for a similar flymo but without the roller, its easy to put together although one of the handle bolts from the mower was not threaded correctly, luckily my old one fitted, apart from that it is easy to put together and cuts the grass well, i cant get vivid stripes but not the end of the world

Compromised on QualityI can only comment on the assembly experience, unfortunately mine is being returned due to issues. I did a fair bit of research and there seems to be common theme of compromised quality across various brands of mower. We had a Flymo before and it provided great service over the years, it was well built and had a pretty long life. We finally picked out this model.I started assembling the mower straight away and what should have been quick and easy wasn’t. Foolishly I started with the grass box which is very flimsy and lining up the clips is a real faff. It felt a little more sturdy once assembled but I wonder how long it will last. Then I hit a problem. I attached the handle on one side without issue. On the other side the bolt didn’t appear quite right, it had been poorly threaded. I was careful screwing the knob but there was no way it was going to go on straight or without cross-threading. Sure enough I was right. It looks like the bolt can be accessed and replaced so foolishly (again) I used the Amazon chat. Their advice was to raise it with Flymo and see if I could get some replacement parts. As much as I’d love to take all the responsibility, time and effort away from Amazon I decided to end the chat and simply choose to return it.I didn’t decide to replace it, the quality issue means a bit more research before we take the plunge.
