A handy tool with scope for improvementThe machine is lightweight and easy to use. It is indeed a very handy tool for allotments or garden. There is not much to do in terms of assembly. Like many other reviewers noted, the battery lasts about 20 minutes and it takes a few hours to recharge. There is a design issue in that the lockable hand grip do not lock well. It gets loose quickly and hence unusable. The handgrip is important because you need to hold it and push it down for efficient tilling. I have to hold down the long shaft firmly to get the work done. This works fine but the handle would have been much better.

My Back has easedThis product has taken the back ache out of digging the garden.TBH I was not expecting much from this product because it was cordless and relatively inexpensive.The item arrived well packed, it required minimal assembly. Instruction manual was OK.After charging the battery I was chaffing at the bit to use it.Well I was not dissapointed!The teeth ripped through the soil like a knife through butter. Very surprised by the powerful motor and strong bladesIt coped well with relatively thick roots, ripping through them. Though some got stuck in the blades ( I am sure this would be the same for all makes of cultivators).It took one or two passes to give a fine graded soil.I have notice that it takes an extra pass or two to penetrate heavily baked soil.The rotavator only goes down about 5 or 6 cm.If you want a deeper cut perhaps an electric full sized rotavator is what you require.This is a small sized rotavator that can deliver a perfect soil grade In tight spaces.Yes I would recommend this product.No more back aches digging the garden for me

Love this!So glad I bought this! New to having an allotment, I discovered how hard it is to dig an area, so bought this. It is excellent. Like having a keen dog on the lead! I didn’t want a bigger one, after youtubing cultivators thought I’d be shaken and rattled around as much as the soil! This is the perfect match for me (small, female and 60). It takes the grass off first which I then rake up, then it really digs into the soil, either to rake and smooth over or dig deeper. It will dig a hole if I just keep it in one place. I bought a spare battery as didn’t want to run short out at the allotment and easily used both. I was happy with the area it covered but will take a while to cover lots. Had hoped to upload a video but didn’t get it done today. Quite a sturdy piece of equipment, as I said earlier, I feel more in control than some cultivators I saw on Youtube! I recommend this product.

Great helper but not for longGreat little helper in good soil but battery is under sized and replacements too expensive Probably perfect for composted borders but I probably use the manual cultivation for that

easy to use, till to about 50cmeasy to use, pity it does not go backwards as when any weed roots get to it , it a pain cutting them out , otherwise, nice addition to my allotment
