Utter junk! Will do more damage than goodI bought this set mainly for the less common fine threads and it being a comprehensive set. I was impressed at first with the selection, however, when looking at the dies, I was shocked. As you can see from the pictures, the thread forming sections look damaged, but you can see how they’ve just been badly cut leaving burrs. These burrs are on the front facing part of the cutting edge and will prevent a good start and thread form.I tried to cut a thread from blank stock using M8 x 1.0 fin thread die. The start is hard as there is little taper lead in and the result is a poor, shallow and uneven thread.Bought Saturday, received Sunday, being returned Monday.

Not really a great buyBought this thinking it’s good value, which it is for the no of pieces you getting. Unfortunately the quality of the taps was so bad that you’d actually ruin a good thread if you used it. Way too many burrs and rough finish.

Factory mistake which ended up costing me hundredsEverything was going all great untill I needed to use the 8mm set. Now the difference between 1 and 1.25 screws thread is really significant in the automotive industry. My set came without any 1mm even though it’s meant to, just 4 copies of the 8×1.25 as seen labelled in the picture.I haven’t anticipated for this mistake and retreaded 20 screws for my oil pan on my vehicle. When I got to torque the bolts they don’t hold.Costs of this insignificant mistake is now in the hundreds of pounds in damages and labour. It’s a shame really because other than that it’s decent value for money

will give long use and not blunt easilynot had a chance to use as the set had been roughly damaged ie the case had been split by being dropped on is end so sent it back for a refund, the case of taps and dies need more protection ie bigger box and bubble wrapped to protect it,
