The Cobra S3840v is a 2 in 1 scarifier and aerator powered by a 40v battery system, offering plenty of power. Easily switch between modes, change operating heights and the angle of the handles to suit the operator. The S3840v has a working width of 38cm (15in) and is ideal for removing thatch, moss and generally improving the health of your lawn. Use the aerator module to improve drainage and improve root development, but is also excellent for preparing the lawn for over-seeding. The battery (40v 5Ah Samsung cells) and charger are included.

Not as good as expectedFirstly the assembly instructions could be written more clearly, secondly the battery run life is no more than 30 minutes and thirdly the poor quality rubber cushion handle cover has started to break/split after two uses. Overall it does what is says but there’s room for improvement.

Instructions and performanceInstructions could be very much clearer especially for fitting the net bag. There are two springs included but no indication for their purpose. We contacted Cobra but they were equally mystified. The solution suggested was not correct.However, it was very easy to change the rotovator blades to the scarifier tines. The machine did exactly as expected and the battery charged quickly and lasted well – at least 21/2 hours

Great quality machineGreat quality machine that achieves excellent results. The battery slots in easily and lasts over half an hour – longer when having to stop and empty the bag. It is essential to get the height adjustment correct or it takes too much at one go. Very effective at removing moss. Obviously, the more moss you have in your lawn the barer it will end up!

Good only for one year.Good for the first year. This year does not turn on despite the battery is fully charged. I have also noticed that the wire to keep it turned on is almost broken. I am not buying this brand anymore.

Cobra Cordless ScarifierWe bought this cordless scarifier to replace our electric one and we are very pleased. It is easy to manoeuvre and does brilliant job. After watching how to properly scarify lawn on youtube, we have decided not to use bag and to rake it instead. Battery fully charged lasts about an hour. We highly recommend this scarifier.

Fantastic Scarifier and great customer service.Great product. No more back breaking work with the rake. Easy to use, lightweight and the battery lasted me well over an hour. So impressed that I have just ordered a Cobra battery operated lawnmower. Fantastic service from Country Gardening who, despite Covid19, managed to deliver within 48 hours to the Scottish Highlands and did not charge me for delivery…. Very refreshing.

Excellent scarrifier and batteries hold a good charge.Used to clear a lawn of dead moss – it is quite a large area and required several days work, but it was the right tool for the job.
