Sleeper slicerIf you’ve ever tried to cut damp or treated sleepers with a “basic” handsaw, you’ll be familiar with the endless frustration with the saw binding and jamming in the kerf. I had multiple treated sleepers to cut and my circular saw wasn’t large enough to make single pass cuts so I decided to splash out on one of these coated handsaws.I couldn’t quite believe the speed with which this thing tore through 200mm of sleeper. You can be through it in 30 seconds if you go at it hard enough. Granted, now it’s been through a lot of use, the coating on the teeth is wearing off and it’s slower than it was, but if I had a big job I’d buy another. The cut finish is reasonable, cleaner than I expected.

QualityI needed a good saw in order to finish a job I had, this was the one, I wouldn’t have been able to finish the job without it. Bahco tools are always excellent quality so I bought this saw. Yet again excellent quality. I’ve never regretted buying BAHCO.

Fast cutting general use sawGreat saw. Used it to cut some old fencing rails up. Takes a day or two for the saw to be really smooth through the cut .Only minor issue I’ve had is the handle becoming a bit loose. I would recommend it for general use but if you want a finer cut maybe get a smaller toothed version.

Handy and lightweight.Very good blade cut garden sleeper very easily with very clean cut. Saw guide could be easy to fit.

  6. Roger

Excellent for cutting treated timber.Best handsaw I have ever used on treated timber, dry or wet. Blade stiffness is excellent coupled with the reduced friction surface coating makes it easy to cut treated timbers (which tend to ‘grab’ the saw). Definitely recommend.

    Nice cuttingGood saw

  8. Stuart

Good quality hand sawThe saw arrived when expected but the tool itself was better than I expected. For all these years I have obviously been using substandard hand saws. I will now rarely have need for my electric circular saw. Made light work of cutting decking planks and joists. I would recommend this product

  9. A Mcardle

The most efficient handsaw in the world in my humble opinion.I bought a Bahco saw about 4 years ago and it is the finest handsaw I have ever used. Due to wear and tear, I thought I would update it with the new one. It is superb. I carry it in my car and when the opportunity allows, I cut windfall logs for firewood. It is effortless and goes through logs like butter. Great handsaw, and this one seems to be more robust than the last .

  10. Buzz

Like a hot knife through butter!Really good quality saw. It absolutely tears through wood with less effort required compared to other handsaws. It doesn’t leave the very finest of finishes on the timber but then looking at the coarse teeth it was never designed for that. Definitely recommended.
