Great but missing screwdriverGreat little set for the money. My set was missing the small flat head screwdriver from it. Otherwise a great set.

Good productGood value for money. Nice complete tap and die set with no quality issues so far.Case is metal and is aesthetically descent enough.Only moan is that some of the larger dies seem to fall out of their hold quite easily and then jam the case half open when you attempt to open it. Bit annoying but for the money you really cannot go far wrong.Would recommend.

CheapYou get what you pay for .The wrench barely holds the taps .This is cheap tat from China but to my surprise it did actually do the job ,hence 3 stars.

Not split dies – shame but work okayI have used these a few times and though I would like the dies to have been āsplitā I have managed to use them to cut decent threads internal and external.

Disappointed. The taps work fine, but the clamping mechanism on tap wrench cracked when trying to tap an 8.5mm hole to make an M10 thread, although still usable (but… for how long?).Would I recommend this tap and die set? ……Yes…but you will need a better tap wrench.

Not as Described – Only secondary Taps includedFor this price, I wasn’t expecting great quality, but I expected to find 3 stage taps as described. The description details 3 taps for each size – Tapered, Secondary and Plug. However the box only contains 3 secondary taps for each size. Additionally, it had 5 x M6 secondary taps and only 1 x M5 secondary tap. So a bit useless. Tapered taps should have 8-10 tapered threads and the remaining threads should be incomplete or flat topped, so a shallow thread can be cut. Second Taps should have 3-5 tapered threads with their remaining threads slightly rounded (not complete) to begin completion of the thread. A plug Tap should only have 1 or 2 tapered threads and the remaining threads should be completely formed for a final cut, or allow completing threads to the bottom of a blind hole. For most thread creation tasks a tapered and secondary tap should suffice, but it may be tight on some bolts if the tolerances are too close. These taps are all secondary and on some materials this wall cause tearing of the thread surface when doing a first cut and could cause the tap to snap in a hard material as its trying to do too much work. These taps are OK if you want to clean up an existing thread, but not for creating new threads. Note that a Plug tap in the UK is the finishing tap (for blind holes), whereas in the USA, a Plug tap is the secondary tap – not sure why. The tools look OK (not tried – Returned), but the contents do not match the description. An Update since initially posting: Not sure what other customers received, but what I received was not as described and of poor quality. What was also surprising was to receive a message from the seller to state that they doesn’t want customers to be disappointed and if I improved my feedback/rating and they would pay me Ā£3. Nothing to state that I may have received a poor quality controlled item that was not representative of their stock, nor that they recognised the failings and have made changes. To offer to pay me to upgrade my feedback is unacceptable and Amazon should remove this supplier from their pages – are you reading this Amazon?

I cannot yet answer 2 of the 3 questions. Have not yet used the item.I liked there being 3 taps per size: taper, second and plug. Just like when I was an engineering apprentice.
